As a result of climate change which is propelled by mankind’s unsustainable habits, sea levels are rising and land is becoming even more scarce. In The Netherlands, specifically, this is a sobering reality considering two-thirds of the country is situated below sea level. Fortunately, Dutch engineers are already developing solutions, one of the most newsworthy being a “floating mega-island” which is comprised of 87 floating triangles tethered to the ocean floor.
